I had a blog not so long ago. I have decided that I would like to try again - for no other reason than that it would interesting to see if I can write a blog post every week. This is my first post, and the only post for this week, if ever decide that I want to submit extra posts on a certain week, during this "project", that is what I will do.
I spend an awful lot of time on Youtube, arguing about stupid shit. Enjoyable stupid shit, granted. But stupid shit all the same. Is there any other reason to frequent Youtube? Maybe sometimes there is a Jonathan Meades' documentary, or even a informative talk from writers such as David Deutsch and Noam Chomsky, but all these things do is prove the rule (sorry Deutsch) that, actually, there is rarely anything remotely informative on YouTube, and it makes me wonder: should I just limit my experiences to those archaic cultural and technological innovations known as The Book and The Social Gathering, complete with Conversation, and Something To Whet The Pallet?
I have decided that, instead of entirely wasting my time, I will attempt to write a weekly blog. the posts on this blog will be reasoned dissections of cultural detritus, including, but not limited to, videos (sometimes YouTube videos, sometimes not), books, philosophy, politics (mainly anarchism) education, (topics like "are self-reflection and interospection useful tools in learning?"), Duck-Billed Platypuses, Go (its strategic elements, its history and philosophy) and other people's Blogs that I read or come across &c, &c.
Until next time...
